Why would I want to use Faster Plaster as opposed to polymer clay?

  • Faster Plaster is far more cost effective  than polymer clays. Smaller Faster Plaster design elements air dry in minutes and Faster Plaster can be placed in the microwave to speed up the drying process.

Why would I want to use Faster Plaster as opposed to Plaster of Paris?

  • Faster Plaster dries faster than Plaster of Paris and is slightly lighter in weight when dry. Faster Plaster is specially designed to be chip resistant.

Why would I want to use Faster Plaster over air-dried clays?

  • Faster Plaster has a smoother finish than air dried clays and dries flat without effort. The finished result is a higher quality end-product design with sharp details.

Can I use any type of mold?  

  • The key to the right mold with Faster Plaster is that it must be a flexible material.  Design tested molds include: candy molds, silicone baking molds, Faster Plaster molds and jewelry resin molds. For recycling enthusiasts, blister packaging and clamshell plastic also provide interesting design elements to create your own unique molds.

How do I remove bubbles from Faster Plaster?

  • Immediately after pouring Faster Plaster into your mold, tap mold lightly along the edge to bring air bubbles to the surface. This will also help to level the Faster Plaster in the mold.

Can I paint Faster Plaster?

  • Yes! You can create beautiful color effects with acrylic paint, metallic paints, chalks, inks and markers.

Can I ink Faster Plaster?

  • Yes! You can apply a variety of inks directly to Faster Plaster from ink pads and refill bottles. You can also stamp images directly onto Faster Plaster.

Do you need to add a sealer top coat to Faster Plaster?

  • Depending on the finished effect that you desire, you can apply matte, satin or gloss finishes to Faster Plaster. 3-D glazes are particularly effective.

Does Faster Plaster wash out of clothing?

  • Ah yes, we sometimes have this problem too!  It is always recommended that you remove any Faster Plaster spatters from clothing immediately. Small specks of wet or dried Faster Plaster should be easily removed with water. If Faster Plaster has dried on your clothing, soak in warm water and gently scrub the area to facilitate removal.
